RODNEY CLARKE took the coveted Lead Crystal Trophy in the recent Blue Communications Challenge Tournament at the Barbados Rifle Association's range at Paragon, Christ Church.

He was among 30 shooters, who competed in the final match of the Blue Trophy which brought the International Practical Shooting Confederation-sanctioned competition to a close.

Two exciting stages were set up, consisting of 22 scoring and 11 penalty targets and the competitors had to engage the targets as quickly and with as many "A" zones as possible.

Clarke received the top prize of the Lead Crystal Trophy valued at $1 400 and a cash prize of $1 000 while Charles Davis took home a trophy and $500 for second place and Ernest Hill collected a trophy and $250 for finishing third.

Leo Kunar and Gail Gilkes of Blue Communications Inc. presented the prizes and pledged their continued support of practical shooting. (PR/EZS)
