Ambassador Valeriano Diaz signing document with Caribbean Export Executive Director Philip Williams.

The Caribbean Export Development Agency received more than $21 million from the European Commission (EC) delegation to implement certain projects over the next two years.
But EU's contribution, as well those coming from the annual contributions of CARIFORUM's 15-member states, are not sufficient says, Caribbean Export executive director Philip Williams.
He made the statement yesterday at the signing of the second phase of the Caribbean Trade and Private Sector Development Programme with the head of EC delegation in Barbados, Ambassador Valeriano Diaz at their headquarters, Hastings, Christ Church.
Ambassador Diaz said the European Union (EU) was providing a further $1.017 million to the OECS Export Development Unit towards the programme, while an additional $8.1 million would be contributed by CARIFORUM member states and another $4.3 million from the regional private sector. (TM)
