THE Ministry of Health, will be canvassing the views of the public from today on smoking in public places, especially in restaurants, bars and shops.

A random survey is being undertaken to assist the ministry in implementing a smoke-free policy that serves the interest of all affected parties.

A ministry official said Government "views this exercise as critically important and is encouraging members of the public to cooperate fully with the interviewers". (GIS)
