A Canadian husband and wife continue to trade in their annual Caribana festival for a taste of Crop-Over and their favourite Bajan brew.
Minutes after walking through the door of the Arrivals Hall at Grantley Adams International Airport yesterday afternoon, Jennifer and Dean Haig were craving the taste of Banks beer.
Soon after, their friend Jason Ruck showed up with three ice-cold beers the answer to their prayers. Dean, a teacher from Toronto, said that for the past five years he and his wife, also a teacher, had headed down to "glorious paradise".
"Of course we trade in Caribana for Crop-Over," he said, with Jennifer adding: "Barbados is more authentic." (TM)
