A NUMBER of financial irregularities have been uncovered at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, including recent payments to an individual who no longer worked there.

A review of the hospital's operation by senior management showed that up to last month an unnamed individual was still receiving substantial sums of money but had not worked there in four years.

"The hospital is taking steps to recover all the funds and will take whatever further action which may become necessary to achieve this objective," a Press release from public relations firm JER Associates said. (PR)
