PLAIN TALK ON SEX. That's what Pastor Dale Brathwaite of the Elohim Family Centre will be engaging the public with from April 25 to 30, in Independence Square, The City.
The seminar entitled: Plain, Plain Talk On Sex, is an attempt to "disseminate evidence-based information to Barbadians towards improving the HIV/AIDS situation".
The presentations will be based on the findings of a research paper compiled by Brathwaite, which is an overview of Professor E. R. "Mickey" Walrond's report: Legal, Ethical And Socio-Economic Issues Relevant To HIV/AIDS In Barbados.
"Programme planners and political leaders in the region and internationally agree that if the progress of the epidemic is not halted, the economic and development gains achieved in the 1980s and 1990s will be lost.
"The meetings shall close with a national prayer meeting on April 30 in Independence Square," said the pastor. Each seminar will
begin at 7 p.m.
Some of the topics to be discussed are: A Biblical Overview Of What God Said About Himself, Sex And Marriage; Condom Use And Certain Protection; Man/Woman As Created By God; The Expected Norm, Sex Contrary To Scripture; Examining Prostitution Biblically; The Stages And Phases Of HIV/AIDS; Behavioural Change And The Moral And Legal Debate.
