CUTHBERT MOORE PRIMARY SCHOOL reopened yesterday after two weeks of no classes.

It was back to normal as promotion exams started as planned with 326 of the 347 children on roll reporting for school.

Owing to a burning nearby quarry, classes at the St Helen's, St George school were cancelled as fumes emitted toxins that affected students and staff.

Principal Eudora Mascoll said they would be doing revisions in between exams.

"The teachers will do revision after the morning exam and again after the afternoon exams. They will catch up . . . ." (AB-B)
