Junior surfers riding high

JUNIOR SURFERS will get a final opportunity this weekend to showcase their talent before leaving for the ISA World Junior Surfing Championships in May.
And defending champions St Winifred's will be looking to do the double.
The event is the N.K.M School Surfing Championships at Brandons, Drill Hall Beach. This is the latest event on the Barbados Surfing Association calendar and the last event before junior surfers wing their way to Portugal.
Last year's event saw the largest turnout in the competition 91 junior surfers from 11 public and private primary schools as well as secondary schools a similar turnout is expected this weekend.
Divisions to be contested are Boys' and Girls' Under-12, Under-16 and Under-20, as well as Boys' and Girls' Open body boarding and a special beginners' division.
