Skin rash at hospital
Published on: 4/26/08.
THE Psychiatric Hospital has been experiencing several cases of a skin rash among some patients, which appears to be spread
by physical contact.
This was disclosed by director of the hospital Tennyson Springer, who said immediate steps had been taken to treat those patients who
had been affected.
According to him, staff and patients had been provided with preventative treatment
to limit the spread
of the rash.
In the interim,
the Ministry of Health has restricted visits
to the Psychiatric Hospital by members
of the general public until further notice.
The Ministry of Health has expressed regret about any inconvenience caused as a result of this temporary measure and advises that visitations should resume
by Tuesday, April 29. (BGIS)
