CRAIG ARCHER is still the chief administrator of local squash.
At the 28th annual general meeting of the Barbados Squash Rackets Association (BSRA), Archer was re-elected unopposed to the position of president for his tenth one-year term since he was first elected in 1991.
He has served in a variety of administrative positions in squash for 17 out of the past 21 years and has also been twice elected a director of the Barbados Olympic Association Inc.
A professional engineer and project manager by training, Archer is the treasurer of the Barbados Association of Professional Engineers.
He will have an experienced team to call upon since the majority of the outgoing BSRA executive council were returned unopposed to their former positions.
Orson Simpson, a keen squash player and cricketer, was returned as senior vice-president, while his son and five-time national champion Shawn Simpson was returned as honorary treasurer.
Media executive Alex McDonald was re-elected honorary secretary.
Norman Rice is the new junior vice-president and Yvonne Parris the new assistant (recording) secretary. The new council members are Tony Mackenzie, Joe Steinbok, Richard Walcott and Marlon White. (PR/MK)
