PM GOES TO CAMP
Published on: 7/16/08.
YOUNG CAMPERS could not contain their excitement when Prime Minister David Thompson paid them a visit earlier this week.
Having visited Parliament to witness the Budget presentation last week, the 20 boys and girls of the Unique Helping Hands summer camp got the chance to meet the Prime Minister first-hand on Monday and did they enjoy the moment.
Camp director Penelope Howell said she had invited the Prime Minister to visit the camp and he had obliged. She also hopes to have Opposition Leader Mia Mottley and former prime minister Owen Arthur visit.
The summer camp, which is being held at Harrison College, started on June 30 and ends on August 3.
Here, one of the happy campers makes a point to Thompson, while Howell (left) and the other campers look on.
