PINE HILL ST BARNABAS has forced the third and deciding game in the Carolyn Sinckler Zone playoff, defeating Tropic Ice Newbury 32-23 on Monday night at the Netball Stadium.

After losing the first game 28-24, St Barnabas needed a win to stay in contention. They took the lead 6-4 and by halftime were still in front 13-10.

However, Newbury weren't going down without a fight, and outscored St Barnabas 9-5 in the third quarter, to edge ahead 19-18. Coach Julie Phillips had a talk with her girls at the end of the quarter and St Barnabas kept their cool, going on a 14-9 run to win the game.

The deciding game will be played at 7 p.m. today at the Netball Stadium. (SAC)
