Courtesy support for Police Week

POLICE WEEK 2008 has received more corporate support this time from Courtesy Garage, local agents for Nissan vehicles.
Assistant Commissioner Emmerson Moore and Inspector Rodney Archer, both members of the organising committee, were at the Wildey-based garage recently to collect cash donations towards the week of activities.
General manager of Courtesy, Nicholas Mackie, who made the presentation to the officers, said his company was happy to support the week of activities as it helped to promote greater awareness of the good work done by the police in the wider community.
Moore, chairman of the organising committee, thanked Courtesy for its support.
He said the week would be held from May 25 to 31, under the theme Service, Unity, Stronger Community.
Police Week returns this year after a three-year break and will officially start with a church service at St Paul's Anglican Church, Bay Street and concludes with the Commissioner's Awards Ceremony on Saturday, May 31.
