Should I warn him about his 'queen'?

Published on: 2/9/2010.

Dear Christine,

I'M WRITING TO YOU, to warn those men out there, that everything that glitters isn't gold.

I have two wonderful children, I talk with them everyday about life, because in life we all make mistakes.

I work at a certain place with men and women, good ones and bad ones.

Jobs are hard to come by these days and some women would sleep and do anything to keep their job and that's very sad.

There is this one woman whose son is studying at the University of the West Indies. She sleeps around and the workers are talking about it everyday.

They're telling me to call the boyfriend and tell him everything about her. I can because I can pick up the phone anytime at night, Monday to Friday, and tell him about his queen.

But I'm asking you what to do because she is no good and is always talking bad things about people, especially his children and their mothers.

My friends are saying I should call him.

Please tell me what to do; time is running out.

- BA

Dear BA,

I am not sure why you feel that time is running out.

For what?

And I am not sure what you want me to tell you.

Why would you want to call this woman's boyfriend?

My advice to you is that you mind your own business and do whatever it is your employers are paying you to do.

Her boyfriend may already know all that he wants to know. Let them work it out on their own.

Perhaps the best thing if you are so concerned, would be to speak to her about her alleged behaviour.

Tell her people are talking and you are telling her out of concern.

However, if she is not interested in what you have to say, then back down and go about your own business.

Leave her with hers.

- CHRISTINE

He without sin : 2/10/2010
BA,
Why would you want to do that? Remember what Jesus said when the prostitute was brought before him by her accusers, "he/she without sin cast the first stone". No one touched a stone. What wrong are you doing?
A member of my church sister got killed in St. vincent in a situation like that, she was going to Trinidad for a cousin's wedding, and her friend told her boyfriend that she is planning to go to the wedding but then she is going straight to Canada to her sister and would not be coming back. the guy got mad, killed the girl and then set the house on fire, then went to the beach drank something and committed suicide, now that nosey girl have to live with two deaths which she caused on her conscience. Are you sure you want to go there BA?

I think that the people who are telling this women to tell her boyfriend should tell him themselves. I would only get involved if I knew her boyfriend and if he is a good man.
Often enough people who say outright 'mind your own business' sometimes are involved or have been involved in bad behaviour themselves - not all but some.

I agree with most of the comments but Bajans do not hold the monopoly of being nosey I have met people from all cultures and backgrounds and they all behve the sae ay when it comes to spreading gossip why you think soap operas are so addictive people like to gossip. However BA let your co-workers do they calling/telling themselves they are using you to do thier dirty work do not get involve because it will be you next they are gossiping about.

Mind your business woman. Let those that want her boyfriend to know tell him themselves. When will Bajans stop being so nosey! It seems to be an epidemic with Bajans when it comes to being nosey..

All Are Guilty : 2/9/2010
Now how does you and your work mates know what your colleague is doing for sure? This is how innocent persons get blamed for doing nothing;- through idle gossip. Even if she is cheating on her boyfriend, she did not borrow anything from co-workers that obviously don't have enough to do during the work day except to slander and gossip. Maybe you do not get paid for being productive. Even if she is saying bad things about other co-workers, all of you are guilty of doing the same thing, because you are saying bad things about her too. That is the reason of that you do not judge others, lest you too be judged. Then are you really so blind? Open your eyes and see that the others are making you the scapegoat in case of any repercussions.

Why is it that some people always "have to tell"?? No matter how minor, we all have things we'd like to keep to ourselves, how would you feel if someone found out your 'secret' and felt compelled "to tell". Also, how do you all know that she's sleeping around? Please, you and your co-workers need to mind your own business. It's a shame that you felt that you had to write to Christine about a problem that is absolutely none of your business. Could it be that you believe that in doing so, her boyfriend would leave her, leaving an opening for you?

I hOpe the two wonderful children are not nosy like their mother .I hope they are not older than ten years old . If not those two wonderful children may be up to acts you know nothing of .Be careful not to spit in the air because it will fall in your face . Question, are the wokers affected by the phone bill increase already (oops it is not March yet) .If they have something to tell let them do their dirty work themselves .If you love these children i think you would keep your tail out of peoples affairs .She is a grown woman let her do until she is tired or she gets caught .Do you want a murder /suicide to be on your conscience ? What if he beats her up . You seem to have alot of time on your hands , you need to get a night job too . You know who is sleeping with whom ,who is good and who is bad .You are no different because you obviously talk her name and now want to call her man .,

The million dollar question, why can't bajans mind they own business. We are very noisy in other people's affairs.

How comes the workers do not do the calling if they are so concern. My advice tell them you do not want to get involve as the saying goes you reap what you sow so if this woman is so bad she will get her comeuppance when she least expect to. Do not get involve the said workers will deny all knowledge and you will be the out cast.

Absolutely! Christine I agree 100%. I can't understand why BA should want to get involved in another person's business. It's their life to do as they wish.
