LUTHER THORNE are through to the last eight.

Jordan Niles and Jonte Smith grabbed all but one wicket between them to lead their side to a comfortable six-wicket victory over West Terrace in yesterday's play-off round of the Herman Griffith Primary Schools' Cricket Tournament.

Playing at Bagatelle, Niles snared five for six, while Smith took a further four as West Terrace were shot out for a meagre 52, before an unbeaten 13 from Dante Niles saw the Zone B2 runners-up safely through to the quarter-finals.

Bayleys, Roland Edwards and Ignatius Byer also booked their spots in the final eight with wins against St Matthew's, St Stephen's and St Lukes Brighton respectively.

The knockout round continues today as Hillaby/Turner's Hall play St Christopher at James Bryan, Eden Lodge squares off with St Gabriel's at Friendship, Hilda Skeene play Wesley Hall at Dover while Layers hosts the Charles F. Broome at St Andrews'. (JM)

At Dover: St Matthews 56 in 18.3 overs. Bayleys 61-1 in nine overs. Bayleys won by nine wickets.
