Pop star flies in family

NEW YORK - Rihanna spent more than US$50 000 (BDS$100 000) to fly her family to New York to celebrate her Glamour Award as a thank you for supporting her through tough times.
She flew in mum Monica Fenty, plus her brothers and aunts from Barbados to watch her pick up the Woman Of The Year Award in an emotional ceremony at Carnegie Hall Monday night. Afterward the songbird introduced them to Iman, Serena Williams, Tyra Banks and fashion designer Stella McCartney.
Rihanna said during her tearful acceptance speech: "I really look up to my gran and my mum. They are my two women of the year . . . . Without their unconditional love and guidance, I wouldn't be here."
The group went on to dinner at South Gate in the Essex House, where one Rihanna relative was spotted helping America's United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice pull down the lining of her gown in the ladies' room.
Missing from the festivities was Ronald Fenty, Rihanna's father. The pop star told Diane Sawyer last week that he'd abused her mother when Rihanna was a child.
The singer and her family were expected to leave town by the time Chris Brown arrived to appear on Wendy Williams' show today. (New York Post)

I like Rihanna! but there is something that confused me in all this ,when she came out her and her father had a lot photos together on the internet and in the spotlights with the entire family looking like life was good from the get go.
i know some star tell lies for we the public to feel sorry for them and living in the USA there is a saying' if you dont lie you dont get rich' and i hope she is not following the American way because i felt like from the beginning Mr Fenty who seen to be the perfect dad in all these photos who is now an abuser was used by his daughter to make her look like she come from a very good family in which that is now not so because American beleive ln family valve and also judge you by them. If my father abused my mother i would not want nothing to do with him at all so a piece of the puzzle is missing here. I know Mr Fenty felt like he been slapped in his face by his daughter because he back her up when chis abused her and now she is saying all these things. Again let me say this i am a big Rihanna fan and i liten to that interview on the net but a lot of it dont sound right ,to me it was the worse interview i have ever seen and a lot of things dont match up at all. I honestly think she sould be check by her Doctor for A-D-D . SORRY BUT THIS FAN HAVE TO TELL THE TRUTH ,WHEN STAR HAVE MAJOR PROBLEMS IN COMES DRUG OVER DOSE NEXT AND A LOT OF THEM GO NUTS BECAUSE OF LACK OF REST AND NERVE BREAK DOWN.

Sorry folks, the wake up call is that she is Rihanna to you watching from the sidelines, but she is really Robin Fenty CEO of her music and entertainment enterprise. So you can speculate all you want from the bottom of the heap, she will do what ever it takes to succeed in the business she is in. sorry folks, the beauty and fame does not last forever. Maybe a scholarship fun for young women that want to become "Medical Doctors"; maybe when she is old and should she desire to retire in Barbados, some of these female Doctors that benifited from such a scholarship could perform brain surgery, or other medical services for free. Congrats to Rihanna on receiving the Glamour Award: Rihanna should forgive her father; but she do not has to invite him to any of her festivities: Like most children, she was raise by her grandmother and mother. Therefore I see no reason why the man should be invited. She invited the people that was there for her: So why question her motives? I am thankful, she had her mother, and grandmother for guidance and love. Now, they are reaping the rewards for a job well done. May God forgive her father for being abusive to her mom. All the posters here speaking about forgiveness, I hope nothing of this nature ever happens to you and if it does you practice what you preach. Her father beat her Mom and my father killed mine. Should I forgive him for leaving me to suffer sexual and physical abuse(i was nine at the time). For years he beat her until he finally took her life and changed mine forever. I remember th judge at the trial saying that the fact that my mother was alot younger than him, drove him to do this. What a load of bull****. I have forgiven him but this still haunts me to this day and it was 22 years ago. How dare anyone suggest when I or anyone else in this situation should forgive the perpertrator? I just can't understand why people don't grow up and let Rihanna live her life. If she was out there behaving like Brittany Spears and Lindsey Lohan, and even Madonna and Paris Hilton in their time, you all would have something to talk about. Nooo! Rihanna I acting in her own Bajan down to earth style, the only additional thing is that she is now a commodity in the entertainment world and you all can't damn well handle it. WHY? because you are all jealous of her and as I have said before and Jesus said it "A king has no honor in his country" WUNNAH MEK ME SICK!! I remember Bajan women back in the day when asked, why are you taking a beating from that man/husband of yours? They would answer "if 'e en beat muh 'e en luv muh" I remember seeing many women beaten because the man came home and food wasn't done. I know women who had to look forward to a beating every Saturday night because the man came in drunk. I knew couples who went to dances every Saturday night and by 12:00 o'clock the women had some licks in she tail. Rihanna has seen it first hand and has come forward to prevent young girls who look up to and admire her from going through the same thing. BTW, as I write this I am watching the subject matter on ABCTV 20/20 young women beaten up and brutalized by young men.

Rihanna's Whereabouts : 11/13/2009
RiRi is in London. This morning, she was spotted arriving at St Pancras International Train Station on the Eurostar from Paris. Before driving to her central London hotel, she made a special trip to a caribbean restaurant, where the chef opened especially for her. Pictures coming soon. This is why I am constantly asking folks to stop bashing Rihanna - she is as down-to-earth as it comes, she still rides the train and do things normal people do despite the contrary of what other's may think of her. RIHANNA'S COURT ORDERS : 11/13/2009
After reading the article above, I want to explain the real reason why Rihanna wanted the court to drop the "stay away order". She thought it was unnecessary not for the reason that she wanted Chris to interact with her but since they are both in the same industry and sometimes they will have be keeping tabs of who is going to which event or who is going to be in the same location and when.....the last paragraph in this article is the main reason, here it is Chris Brown will be on the Wendy Williams show today and they (Rihanna and family) have to leave because he will be in the same space to attend his interview. Like Rihanna said in the Diane Sawyer's interview last week - this is definitely a spectacle and absolutely unnecessary.....and when she asked her lawyer to have the cour drop this order folks were ranting and raving that she wanted to be with Chris that's why she wanted the order dropped....see, wrong again....I don't know why people don't hold up off Rihanna and give her a serious break, but people with talk and hate no matter what. I think Rihanna is actually in Europe right now as she had to fly out to attend some functions relating to her new album which will be out in about one week. I hope you all listen to her music (more than once), have an open mind and truly understand and support her. Everyone's changing their game in the industry to define them as their own individual artists and she is definitely doing the same, it's a tough industry and it takes a lot of hard work and creativity to stay in it.
