It’s called the breathalyser test – and they passed it!
Campers at the Valley Resource Centre were more than lucky yesterday when public relations officer of the Road Safety Association, Richard Cox, stopped by and introduced them to the test.
Cox, who spoke at length to the 80 students on road safety and showed them the various road signs, also showed them the new breathalyser machine that is used to estimate blood alcohol content from a breath sample.
The campers, ranging in ages from four to 15 years old, were fascinated by the machine, and after watching Cox demonstrate how it is used, all were eager to get their chance to try it.
Little Kayla Payne was among those lucky enough to get a chance to blow into the machine.
