LEFT-ARM spinner Winston Reid took three wickets on his return to Division 1 cricket to help Banks secure first innings points over BNB St Catherine yesterday.Reid took three for 19 off 21 overs as St Catherine, resuming on 43 for four, folded for 124 in reply to the 288 for nine declared made by Banks.  Asked to follow on, St Catherine reached 121 for three before the match was called off at 5:28 p.m. Joel Leacock, who resumed on 12, went on to topscore with 31 while the only other significant score came from Ulric Batson who made 28. Reid immediately put St Catherine under pressure when he trapped Derick Bishop lbw to reduce St Catherine to 65 for five. It triggered another collapse in which four wickets tumbled for 18 runs.  Batson and Michael Holder (12 not out), added a crucial 37 for the ninth wicket but when Batson was bowled by Reid, Kayodie Pantophlet fell cheaply to the same bowler as the visitors conceded first innings lead by 164 runs.St Catherine had a scare when Chad Proverbs lifted a catch to Shadd Simmons at mid-wicket off the first ball of the second innings bowled by Ramon Sealy.  Sealy also bowled opener Micah St Hill in the midst of a lively spell.  Kenroy Williams survived a chance to the keeper Renaldo Holder but there was further concern for St Catherine when Renaldo Kellman was caught by Jamal Phillips at deep square leg off a short delivery form Martin Nurse with the score 47 for three.Leacock again batted with discipline to help St Catherine avoid further embarrassment, supporting Williams in an unbroken stand of 74 that spanned 79 minutes.Williams made 57 not out off 85 balls in 134 minutes an innings that included one six and one four while Leacock was unbeaten on 33.
