Run-off rain water should be harnessed
THERE IS a lot of talk concerning water management and I have written, before, that lack of water would pose serious problems to both developed and developing countries in the future.
I was recently on the east coast and observed that heavy rains that we were experiencing were rushing out to the sea.
One also witnessed the entire coastline being saturated with the muddy run-off. Can’t something be done to harness this water so that it can be treated and used for different purposes?
It would certainly reduce the consumption of water in this area.
I would also like to find out if we have given up with plans to secure alternative energy sources that can help us to sustain our growth.
