Solar power sure way to the future
THIS COUNTRY should swiftly pursue the solar power option.
Barbados, blessed with well over 300 days of sunshine a year, was one of the pioneers in solar power for heating water.
Germany is a global solar leader, although it is dogged by cloudy skies for most of the year.
Some of our young brilliant scholars in sciences should be persuaded and given incentives to explore this field.
Solar power is a clean, cheap and readily available source of energy and an ideal alternative to fossil fuel.
