5:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010 – Don’t be left behind.
That challenge to principals has come from Dr Lynne Long who says techniques and technologies are changing and they cannot afford to be left behind.
“What do we need to have is a good, sound professional development programme for principals? We need collegiality and collaboration; realise professional development is a life long process; realise it is based on adult learning theory; realise it is essential for quality schools; realise it can be enhanced through technology; and provide professional development opportunities,” she says, during her speech today at the Association of Public Primary School Principals (APPSP) at Accra Beach Hotel and Spa, Rockley, Christ Church.
