Cyclist Darren Matthews fought the good fight, but finished down the field in the scratch race at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India, yesterday.
The teenager was ninth overall in the final in which Australians Cameron Meyer and Michael Freiburg took the top two positions and Canada’s Zach Bell the bronze.
Today, boxer Anderson Emmanuel steps in the ring against Arsene Fokou of Cameroon in the heavyweight division, and Kristen Edwards will compete in the 75kg weightlifting class.(SAT)
