THE EXTRADITION MATTER against Jason Edwin Forde was adjourned when it came up for hearing in the Bridgetown Traffic Court on Thursday.
The Barbadian caregiver, who is wanted in Britain on sex-related charges, returns to court on October 21.Forde, 40, of Inch Marlow, Christ Church, is wanted for engaging in sexual intercourse, on April 30, 2004, with a woman who was a mental defective.
He is further accused that being a nurse at the Homerton Hospital, on or before April 30, 2004, he had unlawful sexual intercourse with the woman who, at the material time, was receiving treatment for a mental disorder at that hospital.
Forde is also charged with three counts of intentionally touching the woman, between May 1 and May 10, 2004, by penetrating her vagina with his penis, in circumstances where the touching was sexual, where the woman was unable to refuse because of, or for a reason related to a mental disorder, and that he knew or could reasonably have been expected to know that the woman had a mental disorder and that because of it or for a reason related to it, she was unlikely to be able to refuse.
Forde is alternately charged with three counts of intentionally touching the woman, a person with a mental disorder, by penetrating her vagina with his penis, in circumstances where the touching was sexual, where he knew or could reasonably have been expected to know that she had a mental disorder, and where he was a person involved in her care.
Acting Senior Crown Counsel Lancelot Applewhaite appeared for the British Government.
