AFTER THE RECENT HEAVY DOWNPOUR, it has become clearer yet that Barbadians need to clean up their act.

Beach erosion and climate change aside, the littering habit of Barbadians is the greatest challenge to our environment.

If we were tidier we wouldn’t have to be worrying so much about flooding and the mopping up after.

Every plastic bag, cup and bottle left behind builds blockage, which in the end costs homeowners thousands of dollars in water damage repair.

Let us all be more conscious about keeping our surroundings tidy.
