School is not only a set of classrooms for study as close to 30 children from the Warrens 123 Pre-school, in Mapp Hill, St Michael, have learned.
Yesterday, the two-and-a-half to five-year-old Leaping Frogs, KG1 and KG2 students, spent some time at the Aquatic Centre, Wildey, learning water safety, how to swim and some water games.
Principal Kim Davis-Edwards told the Daily Nation the school wanted to have a well rounded curriculum.
“We already have a strong academic programme. Swimming is one of the activities we have included and we also have a Spanish instructor who comes. so we have a diversified programme,” she explained.
The little ones thoroughly enjoyed their time in the water.
Here, swimming instructor Joseph James has their full attention, challenging them to throw a ball into his bucket.
