Political shift shows true colours

THE POLITICAL EVENTSĀ of the past week have highlighted the uncertainties of politics, both inter and intra party and shows that in the twinkle of an eye how things can change; for some people it is for the better while for others it is a horror story.

What, however, has been most puzzling has been the comments, bolth informed and uninformed, on the matter.

It has also shown the loyalties of the various sides and the hurt in this rather interesting game of power and positioning.

At the end of the day, we need to recognise that change has taken place in Barbados in much the same way there was a shift in power in the 1950s.

The black middle-class which held the reigns of power following the shift from the white planter and mercantile groups , will now recognise that a new group has emerged. The shift has affected both of the established parties.
