IT WOULD BE NICE to see the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) starting a trend in highlighting the achievements of our students from around the region.
Perhaps a good start to this idea would be a publication of the top ten students in each subject both at the Unit 1 and the Unit 2 levels (separately) at the regional level
That is, the Caribbean Community would like to see a list of the top ten students in the Caribbean in each subject, together with their corresponding schools and territory.
For too long, many of the accomplishments of our top scholars have been hidden in obscurity for reasons known to only a very few, and no one seems to be able to offer a reasonable explanation for this ”blackout’ of information.
Will we ever rise out of the “Third World” habits?
