Last night was the first time in the 24-year history of the Richard Stoute Teen Talent that the semifinal was not held on a Sunday night.
The regular semifinal was split into two shows – last night and tomorrow – ahead of the final on November 14.
According to show organiser Richard Stoute, the decision was made in light of the succession of recent tragedies, including the late Prime Minister David Thompson’s death and the impact of Tropical Storm Tomas. Stoute assured the public that all tickets bought prior to the format changes will still provide valid entry.
Both the second semifinal and the final begin at 7 p.m. at the Plantation Garden Theatre.
The contestants for the first semi-final last night were Desiree Benn, Akeree Alleyne, Alicia Phillips, Ticia Moore, Shadia Marshall, Samantha Greaves, Jamal Springer, Sasha Abraham, Charmaine Bradshaw, Aisha Sandiford, Rochelle Griffith, Adele Payne, Cherise Greenidge, Dannisha Best and Tasha Mathurin. Up to Press time, WE Magazine was unable to record the results.
Tomorrow’s semifinal lineup consists of Lynette Lynch, Aliyah Searles, Jonathan Jeffrey, Shanice Marshall, Chantal Jemmot, Kebibi Greenidge, Kade Mascoll, Donika Haynes, David Howard, Lisa Mayers, Jabari Hurdle, Kristina Carter, T’Kila Clarke-Weekes, Torisha Holder and Krystal Jordan. (AB)
