Call these schoolboys double trouble.
Not trouble in the classroom, though – just on the cricket field.
Jadan Jones and Kadeem Alleyne wrote their names into the record books of the National Sports Council’s Herman Griffith Primary Schools Cricket Tournament yesterday, becoming the first pair of schoolmates to score centuries in the same innings.
Jones, the captain of St Christopher’s Primary, slammed 112 not out and his trusted sidekick Kadeem Alleyne chipped in with 104 not out in a partnership of 240 to pilot their school to 274 for two versus St Gabriel’s at Inch Marlow, Christ Church, yesterday. St Christopher’s then bowled out St Gabriel’s for 41, to easily win by 233 runs.
Here, Jones (left) and Alleyne are all smiles after their historic achievement.
