St Leonard’s Boys School has won in most categories of the Barbados Community College Language Centre’s French and Spanish language Encuentro/Rencontres competitions.
The school gained 106 points to win the challenge trophy, beating the nearest rival, Springer Memorial School, by a whopping 86 points.
The competition had an oral element, as well as a poster competition and dramatization.  Here, the students and Spanish teachers Mr Burke (left) and Mr Lewis (right) pose with some of the many trophies they collected on Friday. (LK)
