Holetown Festival kicks off

SCORES?of visitors and locals converged on the Super Centre carpark, Holetown, St. James this evening for the opening of the 2011 Holetown Festival.
Patrons were treated to a variety of entertainment after the official welcome by reigning queen of the Festival Sakina Alleyne and main speech by Minister of Family, Culture, Sports and Youth Stephen Lashley.
The featured acts included the St. Leonard’s Boys’ Choir; winner of the Richard Stoute Teen Talent singing competition Torisha Holder, saxophonist Ricky Niles and singer Rhea Borman.
One of the exciting presentations came from singing quartet Advent Boys. They comprise of Jordan Comrie bass, Nikolai Comrie baritone, Kemar Grant tenor and Kamar Clarke, soprano.
The festival runs until February 19.
