The Prime Ministerr is being accompanied by a high-level private sector grouping with the statement saying that the “objective of this visit to the UK is to provide key networking opportunities between Trinidad and Tobago business leaders and their UK and other business people and Government representatives from throughout the Commonwealth”.
It said the first such event will be at the launch of the Caribbean Investment Forum (CIF) organised by the Commonwealth Business Council (CBC).
Trade and Industry Minister Stephen Cadiz will also host a business networking reception at the Trinidad & Tobago High Commission “in order to facilitate bi-laterals for the business delegates and any companies or business people interested in doing business in Trinidad and Tobago or working with their local counterparts”.
A number of artistes headed by the Minister of Arts and Multiculturalism, Winston Peters, and including Machel Montano, the recently crowned International Soca Monarch, will also  represent Trinidad and Tobago at business, tourism and cultural promotional events in the United kingdom, the statement said.
