DENIS LOWE will be back on the job next month, and Denis Kellman, who took over his ministry when he was ill, will remain in the Cabinet.
Speaking on national television last night, Prime Minister Freundel Stuart said Lowe was a highly valued memberof Cabinet and he was looking forward to his return.“His illness manifestly affected his colleagues and there was an outpouring of solicitude for Denis Lowe as he went through that very dark period of his life. I am very pleased to say that he is looking in the peak of health again and will be back out shortly,” he said.
Stuart said Kellman, the Member of Parliament for St Lucy since 1994, had been there through “thick and thin” and he would not be returning to the back bench. The Prime Minister said Kellman was a loyal member who had to be accommodated in the Cabinet, adding that those “details were being worked out at the moment”.On January 4, Kellman was sworn in as Minister of the Environment, Water Resources, and Drainage, after Lowe had to be hospitalized.
