Tourism call for timeshare laws
Tourism officials WANT legislation enacted to govern timeshare operations here.
President and chief executive officer of the Barbados Tourism Authority (BTA),?David Rice, said it was very critical for such laws to not only protect the rights of those coming to do business but also local property owners.
Timeshare is a form of ownership or right to the use of a property, usually resorts or holiday homes, in which multiple parties hold rights to use at specified times.
“In my very succinct words, legislation is necessary,” said Rice. (MM)
