Things are indeed rough in Barbados for the average man.
That’s the admission of the country’s lead economist Dr DeLisle Worrell.
However, the Central Bank Governor maintains that despite everything, the country is doing better than most as it battles the worst global economic downturn in recent memory.
What’s more, Worrell said it was possible, as former Governor Sir Courtney Blackman suggested, that the global recession could drag on for between five and ten years. (GE)
