Cricketers heeding drug message
After two years and scores of drug tests, there hasn’t been a single positive result in this country’s most popular sport.
Cricketers in Barbados are staying away from illegal substances.
And president of the Barbados Cricket Association, Joel “Big Bird” Garner, couldn’t be happier.
“The association signed on to the WADA (World Anti Doping Agency) accord two years ago, and I’m glad the message about using illegal drugs or enhancers has gotten through to a lot of our players,” Garner, a former Barbados and West Indies pacer, told the WEEKEND NATION yesterday. (BA)
