Jones: Stop the violence

Minister of Education and Human Resource Development Ronald Jones is concerned about the level of intolerance in society.
“Persons no longer negotiate through discussion or whatever to get themselves out of conflictual situations. They resort to knives and scissors and bottles and gun, in this instance,” he said.
Speaking to the media after a tour of several schools recently on the number of young people, some of school age that are committing crimes, Jones said one did not like to see former students involved in such activity.
Noting that such situations were unfortunate, Jones said schools and the home must be able to identify the potential for violent behaviour.
