Where there’s a will, there’s always a way!
This is a powerful statement that can assist with healing. Last week I obediently listened to the way and will of my body.
This occurred as my body was on a journey to source up-to-date remedies after an invasion by a respiratory problem. It began with a horrible sore throat, sneezing and discharge of mucus.  
As I prayed for the way, the will of the body remained focused and rescued itself. Wisdom was instilled and I created my own relief using the famous silent doctors.
However, that was not all that occurred. Drama unfolded.     
On my return to work, one of the administrators enquired about my status. My honest response was that I was faced with a respiratory challenge but all was well.
The response was: “What?! The herbalist is sick? You should be the healthiest person on staff.”
While attending Teachers’ Professional Day on Friday, again I was greeted with a similar sentiment.
As I responded to one of my colleagues regarding my status, I was told: “With all the bush you dealing with, you had a cold, huh!”
Although I appreciate that I should be the healthiest, in reality I am a normal, humble human. Being human means that challenges (imbalances) will unfold in life, therefore don’t place me on the perfection pedestal – only the Creator deserves such.
It was good that people shared honestly with me.
I know that my healthy lifestyle and this column will place me under the microscope daily. But, readers, I cannot run, hide or pretend that I can evade life’s challenges because of my divine relationship and abundant use of  “silent doctors”.  
My responsibility, when I find myself out of alignment, is not to panic or hide but to restore balance using the mind, body and spirit. We are all capable of this.
Silent doctors are always available for creating herbal remedies. They may have touched many lives, and to the Creator I gave thanks. Also, an authentic herbalist would not be credible if never tested.  
It was my journey through many challenges that qualify me to share my testimonies. It is being challenged and going into the garden and communing with Mother Nature for answers that saved my day.
If I need spiritual answers, I must be prepared to walk the walk.
In conclusion, these are my most recent revelations that assisted me.  
The exit from the painful sore throat was through diced fresh ginger which was chewed early in the morning. I also used a steamed inhalant of colic mint, bay leaves, grated ginger, rosemary, and half a teaspoon of peppermint oil, then walked for about 20 minutes afterwards.   
To rid the body of mucus, I consumed dog dumpling juice early in the morning. Later I used a blend of golden apples and aloe vera, or combined lemon grass, lemon, bay leaf and ginger in hot water.
My hot cereal was a combination of flaxseeds, oats and cornmeal. Overall, I drank plenty of water.  
And do not forget, nothing beats living the truth!
