Two charged in cable theft

Two men have been jointly charged with theft of cable worth over $72 000 belonging to Simmons Electrical.
Police public relations officer Inspector David Welch, in a press release this evening, said the two charged are Fabian Alexander Christopher, 31, of Work Hall, St Philip and Vincent Cecil Forde, 45, of Church Hill, Christ Church
The cable was stolen sometime between September 1 and 19.
Forde also received an additional charge of theft of cable worth $15 000 belonging to Lashley’s Electrical. This theft occurred sometime between October 3 and 4.
Both Christopher and Forde appeared at the District C Magistrate Court today and were both remanded; Christopher until October 18, 2011, and Forde until October 27. (PR/CM)
