Patient care concern

THE QUEEN ELIZABETH HOSPITAL (QEH) must continue to deliver quality health care until a new hospital is built.
That is the message delivered by chief executive officer Dr Dexter James yesterday during the 47th anniversary service at the River Road New Testament Church, launching a week of activities.
His advice comes about a month after Minister of Health Donville Inniss announced Government’s decision to construct a new hospital.
“The implication of such a decision for the QEH is that we must accelerate the continued re-engineering and modernization of services and strengthen our hospital-wide systems while maintaining a highly-skilled and well trained and motivated staff,” James said. (YB)
