DEAR CHRISTINE – Husband a cheat and a liar

Share post:

Dear Christine,
THANK YOU for the good work that you are doing.
Please print this letter for me so that Barbadian married men can read it.
Christine, I was married to one and I regret it. This man was a liar. He had a mistress whom he left for me and now he has left me and has a baby from another woman. He brought that baby to my home to sleep and told me it was his goddaughter; I believed him.
Thank God, my son found out the truth and told me! I eventually put him out.
Christine, right under my nose he was also having sex with my daughter.
I am going to divorce him or put him in court. Christine, I will never marry again.

Dear JD,
I am sorry about your experience, but let me also say that not all Barbadian men – married or single – are bad. It’s just unfortunate that you got one of the “not-so-good ones”.
You have not asked for advice, only that your letter be published for all married men to see, but my advice to you would be to go ahead and get a divorce, without seeking revenge of any sort.
While you have stated that you “will never marry again”, you can change your mind in the future.
Seek God’s answer to finding a mate. Too often we leave God out of the affairs of our lives – especially when it comes to matters of the heart, because we believe we can work things out on our own.
Remember that He created marriage in the first place.
I hope you will allow yourself to heal, forgive this man, leave the past behind and get on with your life.
– CHRISTINE
