DEAR CHRISTINE – In dire need of food

Share post:

Dear Christine,
My children and I are perishing for food. We need food urgently. It’s been over three months now that we have not tasted any hot food or tea, and this has made everyone very sick.
The headache of thinking about what to do with the children, on the other hand, makes me cry. I don’t want to live.
We also need furniture for our living room, dining room chairs and a table, kitchen curtains, saucepans, frying pans and carpet to put on the floor; it is so cold.
I also need church shoes – size 3 or 4 – for my eight-year-old daughter; softwear and church clothes for a 12-year-old boy; shoes for a two-year-old girl; church clothes for myself; size 8 or 7 1/2 shirts; black church shoes; an oil or gas stove, pens and pencils for school.

Dear M.T.,
Your request list is very long but I hope to help you with the assistance of kind Barbadians.
To speed up assistance, however, please call the NATION’S offices at 430-5400 and leave your name (which I already have) and a contact number with the receptionist.
I will give you a call and visit as soon as possible.
– CHRISTINE
