And the company has pledged to donate more food in the coming year to the Salvation Army.
The pledge was conveyed by Glenn Taylor, director of sales and marketing at SBI Distribution Inc., during a presentation to the Army of a quantity of Peronne Gourmet Hams in the company’s conference room.
Taylor said the company was hoping to assist monthly as the needs of the Salvation Army were great through the year.
Major Vevene Jonas of the Salvation Army, in thanking the company, said that last year the Army served more than 60 000 meals in Barbados at its headquarters and through the meals-on-wheels programme.
