A Dutch fashion magazine has been forced to apologise after describing pop superstar Rihanna as a ‘n****r b***h’.
The shocking slur appeared in the latest issue of Jackie, and sparked an immediate outcry from readers.
Editor-in-chief Eva Hoeke said there was no racist motive behind the statement – and claimed it was meant as a joke.
Writing on the magazine’s Facebook page, she said: ‘While the author meant no harm – the title of the article was intended as a joke – it was a bad joke, to say the least.
‘And that slipped through my, the editor-in-chief’s, fingers. Stupid, painful and sucks for all concerned.’
The article in question also made reference to Rihanna’s ‘ghetto a**’ and ‘porn heels’.
Elsewhere it implied the singer is Jamaican, although she is actually from Barbados.
The furore comes just days after Rihanna took to her Twitter page to describe a racist incident in a Portugal hotel.
The 23-year-old star said she was subjected to abuse by ‘the most racist’ man in Lisbon last weekend, and admitted she shouted back at him in her fury.

Clearly upset, Rihanna tweeted: ‘I just met the most racist **** EVER!!!  (Rihanna Daily)
