Carrots aplenty

There’s a belief that if you eat carrots, your eyesight will improve.
If it is true then Barbadians need not worry since this root vegetable should be plentiful within another few weeks.
Passing by Brighton Plantation in St George recently, THE NATION team observed Ramesh monitoring the watering of scores of beds of carrots, which he said should be ready in “a few weeks’ time”.
Here, the farmer who gave his name as Ramesh is busy tending to the carrot crop.
