Embattled principal Jeff Broomes, his representatives from the National Union of Public Workers (NUPW), General Secretary Denis Clarke and president Walter Maloney and the executive of the Barbados Association of Principals of Public Secondary Schools (BAPPSS) went in to a meeting with Minister of Education Ronald Jones, Chief Education Officer Laurie King and other ministry officials around 10:30 this morning.
Today’s meeting is the second with the Minister, who has intervened in the dispute between 30 plus teachers at the Alexandra School.
Jones met with the Barbados Secondary Teachers’s Union and some of the aggrieved teachers on Saturday in a four and a half hour meeting at the ministry. That meeting ended in a stalemate.
