The last two quarter-final spots in the Inspire Sports/National Sports Council Under-13 Cricket Competition will be decided today in the seventh and final preliminary round of matches bowling off at midday.
Among the teams already through to the knockout stage are three-time defending champions Fusionz Boutique Passage United, Counterpoint Wanderers Juniors and St Philip Juniors from Zone A.
In Zone B, the qualifiers are TeleBarbados Carlton, Dover Juniors and YMPC Juniors.
Zone A features a three-way race between Banks Juniors on 18 points along with Ellerton Juniors and Mark’s Auto Spares Market Hill Young Blazers, both on 12 points.
Banks Juniors will clash with bottom-placed Northern Academy at Queen Street. Market Hill Young Blazers come up against title contenders St Philip Juniors at Bayfield and the winless Al Falah entertain Ellerton Juniors at Passage Road.
Meanwhile, Isolation Cavaliers Juniors, who are in a must-win situation, and Lords Juniors are on 12 points each in Zone B and they will meet at Lowlands.
Dayrells Road will be the centre of attraction as Passage United, who have been hot and cold this season, oppose a confident and unbeaten Counterpoint Wanderers.
Another key match-up will bring together joint zone leaders Dover Juniors and Carlton Juniors – both on 24 points – at Dover. YMPC Juniors, also with 24 points, will fancy their chances against host North Stars Juniors at Crab Hill. (EDH)
