And Jesus said to them “Whose likeness and inscription is this?” They said, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s and to God the things that are God’s.”?– Matthew 22:21 and Mark 12:17.
As a person who believes in and supports the Monarchy, I was very pleased with the visit of the Earl and Countess of Wessex on February 23 and 24, 2012.
I was also very pleased with the arrangements for their visit.
There is only one thing that was missing. Prayers should have been said at the joint sitting of the Houses of Parliament in the Senate.
When I was presented to the Earl and Countess, as Chaplain of the?Senate, the Earl said to me: “How come you did not pray for me?”
May I let the public know that prayers were said in both the House of Assembly and the Senate before the sitting in the Senate. I gave him the assurance that prayers were said for the members of the Royal family earlier in the Senate.
I was very impressed with the Acting Governor General, His Excellency Elliott Belgrave, who was very dignified both in Parliament and during the reception at Government House, and of course Mrs Belgrave must not be left out, for she was very stately.
