Man charged for drugs

A JAMAICAN NATIONAL has been arrested and charged for bringing cannabis into Barbados.
Police report Ron Royd Conroy Scott, 31, entered Barbados by air on March 4. He was subsequently interviewed by police and searched by customs when it was revealed he was carrying six taped packages of cannabis, weighing 1.5 kgs, in his luggage.
Scott was charged with possession; possession with intent; trafficking and importation. He appeared in District A magistrates court on Saturday and was remanded to District B. (CA)
