Opposition Member of Parliament Rawle Eastmond is said to be “recovering well” as he continues to be treated for ailments related to his diabetic condition.
The long standing MP for St James North was hospitalised last week when it was discovered his blood sugar level went too low after he had an early morning vehicular mishap.
He was taken to the Psychiatric Hospital where he has remained, with family sources saying last night that he was in good spirits and his recovery had been progressing smoothly.
On Tuesday during the Estimates debate in the House of Assembly, Minister of the Environment Dr Denis Lowe extended well wishes to Eastmond while castigating his Barbados Labour Party colleagues for not publicly acknowledging his absence or even expressing best wishes for his recovery. (BW)
